Cassette Audio Output
MIRE includes a 3.5mm audio jack that reproduces the unamplified cassette sound generated by many TRS-80 games and other programs. This eliminates the need for a nonstandard cable to connect to an external amplifier.
Some light R-C filtering has been added to lessen the harshness of the original square-wave sound output by the cassette port.
Cassette sound is monaural, but if a stereo 3.5mm plug is connected MIRE drives the sound signal on both the left and right channels.
